Battalion Chief - Doug Koch

Doug currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief with over 30 years full-time fire service including 30 years of volunteer and full-time service to Deerfield Township. He is in charge of the Emergency Medical Services administering Paramedic level service to Deerfield Township. Other duties include being the HIPAA Privacy Officer, Continuing Education Program Coordinator for Deerfield under the auspices of the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of EMS, and Paramedic Instructor as well as being the Unit 3 Battalion Chief. He has been trained as a Haz Mat Technician, Ice Rescue Instructor as well as river and open water rescue.

Battalion Chief Koch's family moved to Deerfield in 1958 where he was raised and attended the Kings Schools graduating in 1975. He is married to his lovely wife Rhonda and they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.
