Battalion Chief - Mark Miller

Battalion Chief Miller began his fire service career 17 years ago with the City of Forest Park Fire Department in Hamilton County. Battalion Chief Miller was hired as a career Firefighter with the City of Forest Park in 1998. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2007. Battalion Chief Miller began serving the citizens of Deerfield Township in August of 1999 as a part-time Firefighter/Paramedic.  In March of 2008, Battalion Chief Miller was promoted in Deerfield Township to a full-time Captain.

Battalion Chief Miller graduated from the University of Cincinnati in early 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Fire Science. Battalion Chief Miller also holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Service Leadership from Cincinnati State Technical College. Battalion Chief Miller is an adjunct instructor for the Bowling Green University and serves on the Hamilton County Hazardous Materials Team.

Amongst holding several command and leadership certificates, Battalion Chief Miller is also certified as a Firefighter II, Paramedic, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer II, Rescue Technician and Hazardous Materials Technician.
