Pink Truck Project

Raising Awareness, Building Hope, Driving For A Cure

Our Mission:

Commitment to bringing increased awareness and hope through community support

Our Vision:

Span the globe uniting all in driving for a cure

The project began three years ago with the Deerfield Professional Firefighters Union sponsoring an on duty uniform of pink T-shirts. A significant amount of money was raised through the sale of these shirts and donated to a local resident for a wig during her battle with cancer and the side effects of chemo therapy.

This year we have made one of our firetrucks pink! The truck, affectionately known as the “Linda Kay”, is dedicated to the mother of one of our own firefighter’s. We believe this truck will increase the awareness needed and draw incredible attention to fundraising activities. The truck is available during special events and by appointment for survivors and family to sign, offering messages of hope and encouragement.

We at Deerfield Township Fire Rescue are honored to bring this effort to life. As the project builds momentum, the excitement generated is unprecedented.  Please join us in Driving For A Cure.

If you would like more information on how you can become part of the Pink Truck Project, please feel free to phone Lt. Patrick Strausbaugh, 513-348-8321 or by email. We look forward to working with you on this momentous mission.
