Riders will find every aspect of cyclocross covered in these two courses – run-ups, nature forced dismounts, barriers, sand, and a few surprises. Proceeds benefit Lionhearts junior racing team and Queen City Wheels Kids on Bikes programs. Visit the Ohio Valley Cyclocross website for more information or to register.

What is cyclocross? It is a form of bicycle racing, with races typically occurring in the autumn and winter, and consists of many laps of a short (1.5–2  mile) course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike while navigating the obstruction, and remount in one motion.  Emphasis is on the rider's aerobic endurance and bike-handling skills.
