Park
Located at 5847 Irwin-Simpson Road, Deerfield Township Cottell
Park is the crown jewel of the Deerfield Township Park system. The Snyder House,
located at the park, can be rented for receptions, parties and events.
Before her death in 2001, Mary Cottell, patroness
of the park, generously donated $50,000 to the parks system. Long range plans for the park include
lighting, a gazebo and a large pavilion. Three baseball fields are the most
recent addition to the park. Protective shelters, restroom, garage, and a fishing boardwalk
are other amenities in the planning stages. The Veteran's Memorial is currently
