Deerfield Township will resurface roadways at significant savings by
once again joining with the City of Mason for the second cooperative
resurfacing project.
Deerfield
Township will again pave approximately seven miles of roadway this year
and perform approximately 2,000 tons of full-depth asphalt
repairs. Despite rising costs for materials, the Township will be able
to pave the same amount of roadway at about the same cost as last year.
The Township will reimburse the City of
Mason for work performed resurfacing the Township’s streets. The work is
scheduled for sometime between June 1st and August 31st.
Exact dates of work performed on each street will be determined after
the April 25th pre-construction meeting with Mt. Pleasant
Blacktopping.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for
Deerfield Township to be a community leader,” said Board President Dan
Corey.
Streets and subdivisions scheduled to be resurfaced:
Afton Falls; Bayview/Baywood; Deer Run; Indian Summer Way and Autumn
Mist in Chestnut Oaks; and several streets throughout Loveland Park and
Fosters Park.
The following streets will have full-depth repairs:
Irwin Simpson Road;
Kings Auto Mall Road;
Hunters Green Drive;
Western Row Road;
Rich Road; and Carriage Gate
subdivision.
Streets listed are subject to change. The Township may add
or delete streets to the list throughout the duration of this project.
