State Route 741 to close for 60 days - March 8,
2010
To accommodate
construction work on two
bridges, State Route 741 will require a 60-day closure from SR 63 to just south
of its intersection with U.S. 42.
The closure is
scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday, March 8, and end at 5 p.m. Friday, May 7.
Work on the first bridge, located just south of the intersection of U.S. 42 in
the city of Mason, will replace the bridge deck. Work on the second bridge,
located two miles north of U.S. 42, will replace the entire structure.
The detour
will divert traffic to Interstate 71 to the SR 48 Bypass to SR 63. Traffic
wishing to access SR 741 between the two bridges will need to use U.S. 42.
Construction
on the two bridges is being performed at the same time in an effort to expedite
the reopening of SR 741 to accommodate the influx of traffic expected for nearby
summer attractions.The $1.460
million project was awarded to Complete General Construction Company.
Columbia Road - March 16, 17:
Neil F. Tunison, the Warren County Engineer, would like to announce that the Warren County Highway Department will be performing routine road maintenance on Columbia Road (CR 15) which will require two daytime closures from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 16-17, 2010.
Both Columbia Road closures will be located just north of Vivian Drive and south of Walnut Grove Drive. The closure on March 16, 2010 will be between the addresses of 9878 and 9853 on Columbia Road. The closure on March 17, 2010 will be between the addresses of 9842 and 9806 on Columbia Road. The closures are anticipated to last for two days (weather permitting).
The detour for the culvert replacements will be routed using US 22/3 and Fields-Ertel Road.
Columbia Road - March 23:
Neil F. Tunison, the Warren County Engineer, would like to announce that the Warren County Highway Department will be closing Columbia Road for a culvert replacement, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 23, 2010, weather permitting. The closure will be between the addresses of 9228 and 9194 on Columbia Road. The detour for the culvert replacement will be routed using US 22 & 3 and Fields Ertel Road.
