Trustee Romano called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present were Kristin Spiekerman, Fiscal Officer, Peggy Wheeler, Assistant to the Administrator, and Tom Swope, Law Director.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt Resolution 2006-002 A Resolution Approving Appropriations for 2006, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt Resolution 2006-003 A Resolution Establishing Salaries and Rates of Pay in Deerfield Township, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt Resolution 2006-004 A Resolution Setting the Township Fiscal Officer’s Salary and Benefits, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt Resolution 2006-005 A Resolution Establishing Mileage Allowance for Township Employees and Providing for Reimbursement Expenses, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to adopt Resolution 2006-006 A Resolution Setting Trustee Meeting Dates and Times, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt Resolution 2006-007 A Resolution Providing for Compensation to the Township Trustees, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt Resolution 2006-008 A Resolution Providing Insurance Benefits to the Township Trustees and Fiscal Officer, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt the revisions to Section II Work Hours and Pay of the Deerfield Township Employee Manual as presented in the attached Exhibit A with the following change as stated by Law Director Tom Swope. Add H. B. 1. d) Full time F/F personnel covered by the collective bargaining agreement shall be governed by the overtime provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. Effective the first pay period of 2006. Motion carried unanimously.
