Public Works
A motion by Trustee Speidel and second by Trustee Romano to appoint Susan Berger to a three-year term on the Deerfield Regional Storm Water Board beginning February 18, 2006 and running through February 17, 2009. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to accept Greenfield Place phase 1,2,3 and 5 for public maintenance. Motion carried unanimously.
Administration
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt the proposed job description for the position of Parks Maintenance Supervisor and approve the appointment of Raymond McMillian to this position at an hourly rate of $21.31 effective January 15, 2006. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adopt the revised job description for the position of Assistant to the Administrator and approve a corresponding change in the pay rate of Peggy Wheeler to an hourly rate of $23.50 per hour effective January 15, 2006. Motion carried unanimously.

Public Relations
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to approve Wurzelbacher Staging Inc. to provide staging for Deerfield Day 2006 at a cost not to exceed $1,025 and authorize the Township Administrator to execute the contract on behalf of the Township. Motion carried unanimously.
Human Resources
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to approve corrected pay rates for Lois McKnight ($31.27 per hour), Amy Gemmell ($12.86 per hour), William Davis ($14.26 per hour), Tyler Gray ($12.51 per hour) and Patrick Strausbaugh ($14.00 per hour). Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve an outside training request for Battalion Chief Chris Eisele to attend the National Fire Service Staff and Command Course on March 15 through March 22, 2006 in Louisville, Kentucky, at a cost of $1,525 for the course and travel and meal expenses not to exceed $250. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve a pay rate adjustment effective January 15, 2006 for FF/Paramedic Patrick Strausbaugh from $13.25 per hour to $14.00 per hour for achieving Fire Apparatus Operator Rating. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to remove FF John Daunt from the fire department roster due to inactivity effective December 31, 2005. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to hire Andy Burwinkel, Craig Coburn, Steve Richey, Dan Scheffler and Dan Thatcher as part-time employees at their prescribed rate of pay for the Deerfield Township Fire Rescue Department. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Relations
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to authorize attendance of Fran Klatte on February 2, 2006 at the Ohio Township Association Annual Winter Conference at a cost of $40. Motion carried unanimously.
Community Development
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to approve expenditure for Lois McKnight to attend the 2006 American Planning Association annual conference and training session in San Antonio, Texas on April 20 through April 26, 2006 including registration, transportation, lodging and meals. Motion carried unanimously.
Administration
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to approve the rental agreement with Pitney Bowes for the DM20 Digital Mailing System and to authorize Administrator Dan Evers to execute this agreement. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to approve the purchase and service agreements with Woodhull for the Gestetner DSc445sp color copier/scanner/printer and to authorize Administrator Dan Evers to execute these agreements. Motion carried unanimously.
