Work Session                                    

Trustee Romano called the meeting to order at 12:20 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present were Kristin Spiekerman, the Fiscal Officer, Dan Evers, Administrator and Tom Swope, Law Director.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to enter executive session to discuss personnel, pending litigation and property purchase. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Trustee Corey led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Fiscal Officer – Kristin Spierkerman

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to approve Purchase Orders Number 10450-32, 10482-11 and 10550. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to approve Warrants Number 48140 through 48204. Motion carried unanimously.

Administration

Susan Berger, Walt Daniels and Chris Brausch, representatives of the Deerfield Regional Storm Water District, reviewed their goals and objectives with the Board. A discussion followed.

Parks and Recreation

Graham Parlin and Alex Taracenko, Rhein Interests, spoke about a proposed tunnel connecting Long Cove development to Cottell Park.

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to take a break. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to return to session. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to approve the purchase of a Toro Multipro Sprayer from Cutter, Canton, Ohio, for a total cost, including freight charges, of $10,300. Motion carried unanimously.

Fire Department

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve the purchase of replacement uniform items and badges for the fire department from Arslan Uniforms at a cost of $11,305. Motion carried unanimously.

Community Development

A Board discussion ensued regarding a Community Development Comprehensive Plan.

Parks and Recreation

Joel Smiddy, Parks Director, gave an update park projects and projects out for bid.

A motion by Trustee Speidel and second by Trustee Corey to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to adjourn the meeting at 4:55 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
