Work Session
Trustee Romano called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present were Kristin Spiekerman, the Fiscal Officer, Dan Evers, Administrator and Tom Swope, Law Director.
Trustee Speidel led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Executive Session
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to enter executive session to discuss personnel. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.
Fiscal Officer – Kristin Spiekerman
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve Warrants Number 49000 through 49056. Motion carried unanimously.
Community Development
Hayfaa Wadih, Urban Planning Analyst, presented a proposed King Mansion restoration outline. A discussion with the Board ensued.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to take a five minute break. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.
Lois McKnight, Community Development Director, led a discussion on the proposed Long Cove/Cottell Park tunnel. Graham Parlin, Rhein Industries, also spoke about the proposal.
Parks Department/Administration
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Speidel to approve Resolution Number 2006-62 A Resolution Declaring Personal Property as Surplus, Approving an Auction Sale of Personal Property and Waiving a Second Reading. Motion carried unanimously.
Fire Department
Fire Chief Bromen presented information and a contract to lease a facility at Deerfield Towne Center for locating a light rescue team and for public education opportunities. A discussion followed.
