Work Session

Trustee Corey called the meeting to order at 12:15 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present were Dan Evers, Administrator and Tom Swope, Law Director. The Fiscal Officer, Kristin Spiekerman, was absent with prior notice.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to appoint Lois McKnight to take the minutes. Motion carried unanimously.

Pledge of Allegiance

Trustee Speidel led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to enter executive session to discuss pending litigation, threatened litigation, collective bargaining and discipline. Motion carried unanimously.

The Fiscal Officer, Kristin Spiekerman, entered the meeting.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to appoint Kristin Spiekerman, the Fiscal Officer, to take the minutes.

Comprehensive Plan Update

Representatives from McBride Dale Clarion updated the Board on the progress of the plan to date and discussed results of the prioritization exercise.

Adoption of Public Records Policy

Tom Swope presented the adoption of the Public Records Policy.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to approve Resolution #2007-67 A Resolution Adopting a Public Records Policy and Waiving a Second Reading. Motion carried unanimously.

Cell Phone Committee Recommendation

Joel Smiddy (Parks Director), representing the cell phone committee, led a discussion on information gathered by the committee.

Community Recycling

Joel Smiddy presented the community recycling program with Rumpke.

Fleckenstein Park-Farm House

Joel Smiddy presented the recommendations of Poggemeyer Design Group regarding the removal or rehabilitation of structures at Fleckenstein Park.

Sidewalk Policy

Eric Reiners (Public Works Project Manager) presented sidewalk policy information.

Zoning Inspector Resolution

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to Adopt Resolution 2007-68 A Resolution Re-Confirming Lois McKnight as the Zoning Inspector and Acknowledging Bond Filed Pursuant to Section 519.161 of the Ohio Revised Code, Dispensing with the Second Reading and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.

Warren County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to Adopt Resolution 2007-69 A Resolution Adopting a Public Records Policy and Waiving a Second Reading. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to adjourn the meeting at 4:45 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
