Chris
Romano grew up in Philadelphia, PA and attended LaSalle
University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Criminal Justice and met his wife, Jennifer. He accepted a
commission as an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and served
on active duty for eight years including during the Gulf
War. While a Marine, he was personally decorated for
leadership and achievement and led award-winning teams in a
variety of management positions. In 1994, The Romano’s were
transferred to Ohio and found their permanent home in
Deerfield. Chris and Jenny have four children who are very
active in Kings Local Schools.
Since
leaving the Marine Corps, Chris has worked in the
pharmaceutical industry and has been involved in several
successful entrepreneurial ventures. Today, Chris’ company,
Lunch Bunch Network, headquartered in Deerfield, helps
people all over America find information and motivation to
better their lives. In 2004, Chris earned a Master of
Business Administration degree from Xavier University. As a
founding member of Deerfield Honors Veterans, Inc., Chris
helped develop plans for a community sponsored veterans park
called Deerfield Honors
Veterans Park. As the former president of the
Chosin Reservoir Marine Corps League, Chris developed a team
of fundraising veterans who support local charities in
Warren County, including the Township’s annual Toys for Tots
Campaign. Chris has raised tens of thousands of dollars for
charity by running and biking long distances including three
marathons, an ultra-marathon and a 150-mile bike ride. He
teaches children's liturgy at Saint Susanna Church and
volunteers for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In
2005, Chris traveled across the US speaking to and
motivating MS patients and their families.
Chris was
elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2005, began his
service in January 2006, and today is Vice-President of the
Board of Trustees. His term of office expires in December
