| Fiscal Officer John Wahle

John Wahle was elected to a four year term as Fiscal Officer in
November of 2007. He has been a Deerfield Township resident for
21 years, and has lived in the Greater Cincinnati area his
entire life. He has a bachelor degree in Business
Administration and masters degree in Business Education from the
University of Cincinnati.
As Chief Financial Officer of Great Oaks Institute of Technology
and Career Development, John earned numerous awards. He
published Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports from 1990 until
his retirement in July 2007, all of which earned “Certificate of
Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” from
Government Financial Officers Association of the United States
and Canada, the Association of School Business Officials and the
Ohio State Auditor’s office.
John has served as President of the Ohio Association of School
Business Officials and the President of the Ohio Government
Finance Officers Association. He has served on the Regional
Auditor’s Office Advisory Board and many other financial and
accounting committees at the state and local levels. Most
recently he served as a board member on the State of Ohio’s
School Employees Health Care Board. John brings both
leadership qualities and a strong knowledge of government
finance and accounting to the position of Fiscal Officer.
John started his career in public service as a Banking and
Accounting instructor at Live Oaks Career Development campus in
Milford, Ohio. He has served in many capacities in the school
environment including Educational Supervisor, Chief Information
Officer and finally Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer in the
public school arena.
Patti and John have been married for 41 years and have four
children, Jacqui Foster, John Jr., Michael and Scott. They are
blessed with one grandchild Devyn, who is currently attending
Bowling Green State University.
