$20.39 per hour- new hire with CDL  

$2.50 increase at year 1 if requirements are met


Job Description


Deerfield Township has an immediate need for a “Cemetery Crew Member” in the Cemetery Department. The Cemetery Crew Member is responsible for providing a high level of unskilled and semi-skilled functions of the Cemetery including maintenance, landscaping and cemetery upkeep. The Cemetery Crew Member will assist the Service Department, including being on-call for snow removal.  Assist in selling grave lots and works with Supervisor to ensure all record keeping is completed with established procedures and with adequate safeguards to ensure accuracy. Must be 18 years or older to apply. FT, non-exempt; with an excellent benefits package.


Qualifications: Valid Class B CDL preferred; w/any combination or training and work experience which indicates evidence of knowledge of prior experience. Education requirements-Equivalent to high school diploma.

Seasonal Service Crew Member

Deerfield Township is hiring for a seasonal laborer in the Service Department. The seasonal crew worker is responsible for providing a high level of unskilled and semi-skilled functions of the Service Department including the maintenance, construction, and upkeep of township roads, parks, facilities and operation of Rose Hill Cemetery.  The position will assist the full time workers in the day to day operation of the Township and cemetery. 


Must be 18 years or older to apply. Rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. Employment dates can begin anytime between April and May. Employment dates are negotiable and can be flexible for college students.  Applications can be obtained at

Community Improvement Corporation Board (Volunteer Position)

The Deerfield Township Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) is accepting applications to serve as a member of the CIC Board. Interested residents or employees of businesses located within the township who wish to serve are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and should submit an Application for Appointment, resume and letter stating why they wish to volunteer on the board. The open positions are for three year terms.   

The CIC was created by the Deerfield Township Board of Trustees to manage economic development activities. Its purpose is advancing, encouraging, and promoting the industrial, economic, commercial, and civic development of a community.

The CIC Board is comprised of seven board members. The Board meets on an as needed basis. Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Board has meet virtually, however, meetings traditionally take place in the Deerfield Township Trustee Meeting Room, 4900 Parkway Drive, Suite 180, Mason, Ohio 45040.
