Sonder Brewing Grand Opening on October 27th

New brewery brings craft beer to Deerfield Township

Deerfield Township – Sonder Brewing will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, October 27th at 10:00 A.M. A ribbon cutting for the event will be held shortly before opening at 9:45 A.M.

“We are very excited to see Sonder open for business,” said Jim Flick, Economic Development Director for Deerfield Township. “The craft brewery industry has been thriving over the years and Sonder will put Deerfield on the map as a destination for people throughout the region.”

The Sonder Brewing facility is located at 8584 Duke Boulevard. The $6.5 million, 15,200 square-foot building will hold a 30-barrel brew house with American-made equipment and will feature a 2,000 square-foot tap room with spacious bar area as well as open areas with seating for larger groups, an outdoor patio area, and a large family-friendly lawn area. The Sonder team plans to brew high quality craft beer and offer a menu of locally sourced food items from its partner, BrewRiver Gastropub.

Sonder has a vision to work hard for sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices.

“We would have never gotten to this point with countless hours of effort and hard work by this amazing team,” said Justin Neff, President. “We can’t wait to share our beers and beautiful facility with the public and we hope the Sonder story becomes part of the unique story of our community.”

Sonder will offer a select number of craft beers year round, including everything from traditional Germanic styles to hoppy and more trending styles.  Additionally, Sonder will offer exciting seasonal options, such as sour and barrel aged beers. The company prioritizes quality and consistency of their product while offering varieties to meet the tastes of all craft beer enthusiasts.

Sonder Brewing’s vision and dedication is truly remarkable,” said Sherry Taylor President and CEO of the Mason Deerfield Chamber. “Everything from the inclusive excellence within their brand that ‘everyone has a story’ to the dedication of the team through laying bricks themselves to being the largest startup brewing company between Cincinnati and Dayton and choosing this as their home is, again, truly remarkable and we are grateful.

To help in making this project a reality, Sonder was assisted by the Warren County Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC worked with the Sonder Team in September 2016 and provided some business counseling and advice with their business plan to get the the ball rolling for the team.

“It was a pleasure to work with Sonder Brewing on this project,” said Mike Stater, Executive Director of the SBDC. “They are a terrific example of how the SBDC can assist businesses to go from an idea to a reality”

The grand opening on October 27th will feature a ribbon cutting event with Deerfield Township and the MADE Chamber. The brewery will remain open that day until midnight. Normal operating hours of the brewery will be Monday-Thursday 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M, Friday and Saturday 10:00 A.M. to Midnight, and Sunday 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
